Waikiki’s most mouthwatering street festival is back—and this year, one of the most talked-about restaurants on the island is cooking up something unforgettable. El Cielo, the Hale Aina Award-winning newcomer led by chef Masa Arnaldo Gushiken, is ready to wow the crowds at the Waikiki SPAM JAM 2025, happening Saturday, April 27 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

El Cielo will be serving up a trio of bold, globally-inspired dishes at this year’s SPAM JAM: a classic SPAM Empanada, a fiery Spicy SPAM Empanada, and an indulgent Surf (Shrimp) and Turf (SPAM) Paella. Each dish reflects Chef Masa’s rich cross-cultural culinary journey, blending flavors from his Argentine roots, his refined training in Tokyo’s Italian and French kitchens, and the rustic charm of the seaside taverns he experienced in Spain.
